Welcome to the IPPOSI Patient Education Programme in Health Innovation
to the IPPOSI Patient Education Programme in Health Innovation.
This ‘blended learning’ (e-learning + face-to-face sessions)
patient education programme, the first of its kind in Ireland, has been
developed by IPPOSI, in association with a number of education partners.
The programme is specifically tailored for Irish patient
communities on the following IPPOSI-relevant topics:
- Understanding Clinical Trials – delivered by the University College Dublin Clinical Research Centre
- Pre- and post-authorisation regulation of medicines and the regulation of medical
devices in Europe – delivered by the Health Products Regulatory Authority (HPRA)
- HealthTechnology Assessment principles and practices – delivered by the Discipline of
Pharmacology & Therapeutics, Trinity College Dublin, in association with
the National Centre for Pharmacoeconomics (NCPE) and the Health Information and
Quality Authority (HIQA).
This initiative is inspired by IPPOSI’s continued leading role in the European Patients Academy in Therapeutic Innovation (EUPATI).
More information on the programme is available here.
